In the shade of the old cellars, where an incomparable scent of the terroir, wood and cognac reigns, the mysterious age-old action takes place, slowly but continuously transforming the colourless, fiery spirit into the golden liquid that is Cognac, sometimes called "the Liqueur of the Gods".

As it ages, the Cognac evaporates slowly through the wooden pores whilst, in exchange, the surrounding humidity penetrates the barrel. This natural process of evaporation and reduction makes Cognac lose 3% in volume every year. This is what is poetically known as “the Angels’ Share”.
